Taxify is expanding in Ukraine

June 15, 2018

We’re happy to announce plans to further expand in Ukraine, starting with the re-launch of our service in Kyiv today and moving on to other larger cities in 2018. To celebrate the Kyiv re-launch, prices will be 50% off for a limited time.

Markus Villig, Taxify CEO and co-founder: “We’re on a mission to build the future of mobility and see Ukraine as a great opportunity for growth. We’re here to provide the best earning opportunities for drivers and great deals for passengers. The number of rides on Taxify grew by ten times last year and today, more than ten million people globally use Taxify. But this is just the beginning as more and more people give up on car ownership and opt for on-demand transportation.”

Taxify launched in Kyiv in 2016 as a franchise. Now, an in-house team will start work on the Ukrainian service, relying on Taxify’s experience of growing the company into a market leader in a number of Central and Eastern European countries. One of the key things Taxify does differently from competitors is treating the drivers better. We believe this will reflect in great service to passengers.

In 2018, we’re coming to more cities to help Ukrainians save time and money. Stay tuned!
